I rarely go anywhere without at least one camera with me. I find that my photographs can come at any moment.

While some photographers will say that photography is their life, I tend to look at it as my escape. When I have a camera in my hands, I forget about work and other everyday concerns and look at the world in a different way. I see things differently. The pictures are there, but, it is easier for me to 'see' what I am looking at.

I tend toward outdoor photography. I shy away from people. To me, capturing a person is too difficult. My pictures don't capture them as I 'see' them.

I enjoy hiking and shooting nature. I am learning to see city life in a different way. Photographing 'downtown' is becoming easier for me. Cemeteries are a staple of mine. In particular, I enjoy older cemeteries. Not only do I find amazing artwork in the statues and tombstones, I get to learn a little bit of history at the same time.
